Alireza Jahanbakhsh joins Brighton on record transfer
Persianfootball.com – BRIGHTON, Brighton & Hove Albion have won the race to sign Iranian international winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh from AZ Alkmaar.
The 24-year-old signed a 5-year-contract with the 15th placed team of the previous Premier League season on Wednesday
The undisclosed transfer fee is rumoured to be between 20 and 25 million Euros, making the transfer the record transfer for Brighton and AZ. Additionally it is the highest transfer fee paid for an Iranian player yet.
Beside Brighton, Leicester City have shown high interest to sign the versatile right footer as replacement for Manchester City signing Mahrez.
Jahanbakhsh has become the top scorer of the Dutch Eredivisie last season having netted 21 goals beside assisting further 12.
Brighton will kick off their Premier League season against Watford on August 11, before facing Manchester United and Liverpool respectively.
