Loading...Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Persepolis coach Branko Ivankovic says they deserve to win Iran Professional League (IPL) for the third year in a row.
The Reds went top of the IPL table after defeating Foolad 3-0 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Persepolis had beaten Padideh 1-0 last week.
“I am very happy because Foolad are always a challenging team. We scored three goals while we created five and six scoring chances. I am satisfied with what we did in the match against Foolad,” Ivankovic said.
“We are still in preparation phase and improve game by game. The matches will help us to get back on the road as soon as we can,” the Croat added.
“Some of Persepolis players left the team in the transfer window but our young players have shown their potential in the previous matches. Persepolis deserve to win IPL title for the third year in a row,” Ivankovic concluded.
