Celtic plot move for Iran defender Milad Mohammadi
Read Celtic – GLASGOW, Celtic are set to go back in for Iranian international Milad Mohammadi during the January transfer window.
According to a report from Football Insider, the Hoops are one of the teams keeping a close eye on his situation.
Watford and Fenerbahce have also been linked with the player who has been attracting interest while playing in Russia.
Mohammadi impressed at the World Cup over the summer and his performances have not gone unnoticed.
He currently plays for Akhmat Grozny and was heavily linked with a move away in the summer.
Celtic, Rangers and West Brom were all credited with an interest during the summer window but the defender opted to stay put.
The versatile left-back could be the man to provide competition for Kieran Tierney, something that Emilio Izaguirre has not really managed to do since returning to the club.
Celtic are keen to add to their defence with Tierney largely unchallenged in that left-back slot.
