Dudamel: We consider Iran to be a good level selection

After not being able to be present in the game against Japan, defender Wilker Ángel joined the concentration in Qatar from Russia and added to it, another 13 players of the squad are currently playing in a European club.

“Today we have many players who live in the best leagues in the world and that allows us to raise our competitive level, ” he explained.

“Now the great task and goal is that all that individual quality we can take it to a great collective level and be able to compete in the South American Qualifiers for a place in Qatar 2022,” said Dudamel.

“It has not been easy for Venezuela to get friendly matches. We were a year without playing before the World Cup in Russia and we consider that Iran is a good level selection that will demand a lot from us. It will allow us to continue our consolidation work, “he said.

As for this last rival of the year, the national coach said that the intention is to continue competing internationally to arrive in the best possible way to the next tournaments to be played.

“Maybe it does not have characteristics similar to some South American team but the most important thing for us is to compete internationally together, that we can have work days with our players,” he concluded.
