Masoud Shojaei – Islamic Republic of Iran

A key component of Carlos Queiroz’s side in his near eight years as Iran boss, Masoud Shojaei looks set to take his place in Team Melli’s squad for the fourth successive AFC Asian Cup, while he has also appeared at two FIFA World Cups.

The midfielder enjoyed several successful seasons in Spain between 2008 and 2014 and recently returned to his homeland after two seasons in Greece. He will be desperate to go beyond the quarter-finals for the first time.
