IPL: League leaders Sepahan held in Abadan

Tasnim – ABADAN,  Iran Professional League (IPL) leader Sepahan football team played out a goalless draw with Sanat Naft Abadan on Tuesday.

In the match held in Abadan Takhti’s Stadium, Sepahan two teams created so many chances but their strikers lacked the cutting edge.

The Isfaha-based football team remains on top of the table with 32 points, one point above Padideh and Persepolis.

Persepolis will meet padideh on Wednesday in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium and will overtake Sepahan if the team defeats the visiting team.

Earlier on the day, rock-bottom Sepidrood drew 2-2 with Saipa in Rasht’s Sardar-e Jangal.
