IPL: Padideh beats Sepidrood to remain title contenders [VIDEO]

Tasnim – TEHRAN, Padideh football team defeated Sepidrood thanks to a brace from Younes Shakeri to remain Iran Professional League (IPL) title contender.

Yahya Golmohammadi’s side defeated Sepidrood 2-0 in Mashhad’s Emam Reza Stadium on Friday.

Shakeri scored the header in the 40^th minute and then his second goal with 10 minutes remaining.

Furthermore, struggling Esteghlal Khuzestan was held to a 1-1 draw by Sanat Naft, Nassaji beat Foolad 2-0 and Paykan edged past Machine Sazi 1-0.

Padideh has 38 points and sits second behind Sepahan on goal difference.
