IPL: Sepahan, Zob Ahan share the spoils in Isfahan derby [VIDEO]

Tasnim – ISFAHAN, Sepahan football team was held to a 1-1 draw by Zob Ahan in Isfahan derby in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Tuesday.

Amir Ghalenoei’s team could have moved to top of the table but it drew 1-1 with Zob Ahan at the Naghsh-e Jahan Stadium.

Sajjad Shahbazzadeh gave Sepahan the lead in the 34^th minute.

Brazilian striker Kiros Stanlley could have extended the lead in the early minutes of the second half but missed a penalty.

With five minutes remaining, Arsalan Motahari leveled the score thanks to a pass from Mohammad Reza Hosseini.

Persepolis sits top of the table with 45 points, followed by Esteghlal, Sepahan and Tractor Sazi with 43 points.
