Shoja Khalilzadeh’s goal nominated for ‘Goal of the Week’ [VIDEO]

Tasnim – KUALA LUMPUR, Persepolis defender Shoja Khalilzadeh’s goal against Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia in Group D of the AFC Champions League has been nominated for this week’s Goal of the Week.

Khalilzadeh was in the right spot and went for the spectacular, volleying home from inside the box past a helpless Mohammed Al Owais in the first half.

The-AFC.com has announced the nominations for this week’s Goal of the Week presented by Allianz for Matchday Three of the 2019 AFC Champions League.

Khalilzadeh will vie for the award with Malaysian Safawi Rasid, Pakhtakor’s Khojiakbar Alijonov and Al Sadd midfielder Xavi Hernandez.

The winner will be decided by public vote amongst the fans on the AFC’s social media networks.
