Tasnim – GENK, Belgian football club Genk has set its sight on signing Iran and Persepolis goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand.

Genk is going to pay 700,000 euros to Persepolis to sign the 26-year-old keeper.

Turkish top-flight football teams Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş and Çaykur Rizespor are also interested in signing Beiranvand.

Beiranvand saved a penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo in the match against Portugal in the 2018 World Cup and thrusted his name into the international spotlight.

Beiranvand also helped Persepolis reach 2018 AFC Champions League final, where the Reds lost to Kashima Antlers of Japan 2-0 on aggregate.
