Tasnim – CAIRO, Persepolis coach Branko Ivankovic has reportedly reached an initial agreement with Egyptian giant Al-Ahli.

The Croatian coach will replace Uruguayan coach Martin Lasarte in Al-Ahli, a source close to the club told “Erem News”.

Ivankovic helped Iranian popular football team Persepolis wins three successive Iran Professional League titles.

He also led the Iranian team to the AFC Champions League final for the first time.

Ivankovic served as an assistant coach of the Croatian national team in the 1998 World Cup and led the Iranian team at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

He has also worked at Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb, Shandong Luneng from China, Saudi Arabian Ettifaq and Al-Wahda of the UAE.
