Sayyadmanesh comments after first Hull City goal
Hull Live – HULL, The 20-year-old netted on his full home debut for the Tigers on Good Friday.
Allahyar Sayyadmanesh praised Hull City’s fans for their part in the Tigers 2-1 win over Cardiff City at the MKM Stadium on Saturday, after he netted his first goal for the club on his full home debut.
The Iranian, who made his first start in the win at Middlesbrough last Saturday, took advantage of some sloppy Bluebirds defending to put the Tigers in front after just eight minutes before Lewie Coyle added a crisply taken second goal just three minutes later to end a dreadful run of six straight home defeats.
Sayyadmanesh delivered a Man of the Match display in front of a bumper Good Friday crowd in East Yorkshire, giving a glimpse of the talent at his disposal which fans will hope to see more of between now and the end of the Championship campaign, starting with the Easter Monday trip to play-off chasing Millwall.
“Happy to have scored my first goal in front of Tigers fans,” the Iranian wrote on Instagram. “Thanks everyone for the great atmosphere today.”
City’s January signing also spoke of his adjustment to life in England, following his temporary move from Turkish giants Fenerbahce which will be made permanent in the summer.
“When I came here, everything was good,” he told the club’s programme. “All is good within the team, the training and in the games. There is a great atmosphere here in the team. I had a really warm welcome from them. They’re good players and I am happy to be here with them. I hope we have a great end to the season and I look forward to more success.
“Here, it is good quality in the Championship. I really like it and it is a great atmosphere so it is really nice for me to play here for Hull City. It’s a good experience for me to play in a really good league and I hope to do well here.”
