In the match, held in Ahvaz’s Ghadir Stadium, Persepolis lost to Esteghlal Khuzestan 1-0.
Mahmoud Motalaghzadeh scored an early goal in the sixth minute.
On Thursday, Esteghlal will host Tractor in Tehran on Matchweek 10.
