Osasuna beaten in Sevilla
PFDC – PAMPLONA, Sevilla’s 1-0 home victory put an end to Osasuna’s recent run of four consecutive victories.
Luis Fabiano put Sevilla in front after after 35 minutes and the strike proved to be the winner.
José Antonio Camacho was without Aranda and Azpilicueta, both suspended while Juanfran is still recovering from appendicitis.
His men should have broken the deadlock after 20 minutes, but Pandiani wasted a great chance when he sent his header wide after a good cross from Masoud.
Eight minutes later, Andres Palop brilliantly denied Camunas long range effort.
Sevilla opened the score thanks to Luis Fabiano in the 35th minute, the Brazilian headed home Diego Capel’s cross.
After the restart, Osasuna created very few opportunities and the Andalusia side who were never really threatened grabbed the three points.
The Iranian duo started the match, but were not able to make an offensive impact on the game, although Nekounam had a good defensive display.
