Nekounam injured in Osasuna win
PFDC – PAMPLONA, After the 0-3 defeat in Valencia, Osasuna bounced back with a 2-0 home victory over Real Zaragoza.
Aranda brought Osasuna a convincing Osasuna side in front in first half before a late stunning goal from Vadozc sealed the win.
While Masoud Shojaei came on as second half substitute and almost scored a goal after a brilliant individual effort, but was denied by the goalkeeper from tight angle, Javad Nekounam started the game had to be subbed out shortly before halftime.
The defensive midfielder twisted his right ankle during a duel with an opponent and limped off the field after receiving treatment to be replaced by Ruper, who, however, received his marching orders later in the game.
According to first reports, the injury is not too serious and Nekounam could even return to action for Wednesday’s game against Malaga.
