Sheffield United eye Teymourian
PFDC – SHEFFIELD, Championship outfit Sheffield United are eager to sign Iranian international midfielder Andranik Teymourian, the internet site of English newspaper “The Daily Mail” reported on Wednesday.
Free agent Teymourian joined Bolton Wanderers from Aboomoslem after World Cup 2006, and after two quite good years there, signed with Fulham in 2008. There, however, he only had one single appearance, besides several games in the reserve squad.
The 27-year-old’s situation also didn’t improve after a quite good loan-spell at Championship side Barnsley FC in 2009.
Sheffield United finished eighth last season and are looking for a replacement for midfielder Nick Montgomery, who is rumoured to leave the club.
Other than Sheffield, clubs from Qatar, the UAE and Iran reportedly are after Teymourian.
