Hash_goal_-_WolfPFDC – HAMBURG, Former Iranian international Vahid Hashemian said he had no intention to play in the German 2nd Bundesliga at his age.

In an interview with “transfermarkt.de“, the 34-year old former VfL Bochum striker said he had offers from several German 2nd Bundesliga teams as well as teams from Australia or China and two Tehran based clubs but a move was not attractive enough.

Asked about a possible move to IPL side Teraktorsazi Tabriz, Hashemian confirmed talks between both sides in the past. A transfer to Tabriz fell through due to regulations of the Iranian Football Federation (IFF) (note by PFDC: IPL teams are allowed to sign one player during the ongoing season; former Fulham midfielder Andranik Teymourian was already signed by Teraktorsazi).

Hashemian stated that his retirement from the Iranian national team was “definitive” to clear the way for younger talented players. Despite already owning a “FIFA B coaching certificate”, Hashemian also targets the “FIFA A coaching certificate” to work as a football coach in Germany.
