Iran Professional League to start on August 2

MNA – TEHRAN, Iran Professional League (IPL) will start on August 2, according to IPL President Aziz Mohammadi.

“The transfer window will be closed on July 23 and the competitions will start on August 2 with participation of 18 teams,” Aziz Mohammadi said.

Last season, Sepahan won the IPL title for the second time in a row and third times in total. Tehran giants Persepolis and Esteghlal each have won the title twice.

Damash of Gilan, Mes of Rafsanjan and Moghavemat of Shiraz are IPL’s newcomers as they replaced Pas, Paykan and Steel Azin.
