Esteghlal routs Shirin Faraz in Hazfi Cup [VIDEO]

MNA – TEHRAN, Esteghlal football team routed Shirin Faraz of Kermanshah and marched into Iran’s Hazfi Cup last 16 on Wednesday.

Esteghlal beat Shirin Faraz 5-1 at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium. Milad Meydavoudi put the hosts in the lead in the 33rd minute. He extended Esteghlal’s lead in the 53rd minute.

Mohsen Yusefi netted a brace in the 62nd and 68th minutes. Esmaeil Sharifat scored Esteghlal’s fifth goal in the 77th minute. Sajad Khosravi scored a consolation goal with two minutes remaining in the second half.

Esteghlal will play Saipa Mehr of Karaj in the next stage. Second division Saipa Mehr beat Iran premier league Rah Ahan 3-1 on Wednesday.
 
In the other matches, Machin-Sazi beat Shardari of Tabriz 2-1, Sanat Naft defeated Gahar of Zagros 3-1 and Saba saw off Payam 2-1.
