Nekounam wary of Bahrain threat

MNA – TEHRAN, Iran football captain Javad Nekounam has warned that Bahrain is a different team to the one the Persians beat 6-0 in October in Tehran.

Iran will play Bahrain in Group E of the Asian World Cup qualifiers on November 11 at Manama’s Bahrain National Stadium.

“We have to forget our previous match. Iran needs to get a good result against Bahrain. I believe that it’s a difficult match for us,” Nekounam said on Tuesday in Tehran.
 
Iran is in first place in Group E with 7 points followed by Qatar, which has five points, and Bahrain with four points. Indonesia is in fourth place with zero points.
