TEHRAN TIMES – TEHRAN, Former Cagliari coach Roberto Donadoni has been linked with a move to Persepolis football team, according to the Iranian media.

Persepolis has been without a coach since Hamid Estili stepped down as the coach of the team after Esteghlal knocked the team out of Iran’s Hazfi Cup on December 10.

Persepolis has already negotiated with big names Sven Goran Eriksson and Bora Milutinovic.

Persepolis general manager Mohammad Ruyanian is negotiating with Mustafa Denizli as well.

“We are negotiating with Donadoni and Denizli, however we have not reached an agreement with them,” Ruyanian said.

Cagliari axed Roberto Donadoni after less than a year in charge of the team in August following the poor results.

Donadoni replaced Marcello Lippi after the 2006 World Cup but was dismissed after two years.
