PressTV – SHIRAZ, Esteghlal has suffered its second consecutive loss in the 21st week of Iran’s Premier League as the Blues lost an away match against Fajr Sepasi.

Sepasi downed the league pacesetter 2-1 at the Hafeziyeh stadium in Shiraz on Thursday.

Only eleven minutes into the game, Mehdi Rajabzadeh opened the scoring for the hosts from the penalty spot.

The Blues equalized the match about 10 minutes later when Mojtaba Jabbari tapped in a penalty kick.

About five minutes to the final whistle, Rajabzadeh fired home his second of the day to clinch the victory for the Shirazi club.

In the other matches of the day, Foulad went down to Zobahan 0-1, Malavan and Shahin played out a scoreless draw, Mes Kerman drew 2-2 with Naft Abadan, and Teraktorsazi overcame Damash 3-1.

Despite the loss, the Blues are still on top of the table with 40 points, followed by Teraktorsazi only one point adrift.
