Puma to sponsor Iran football team again

PFDC – TEHRAN, German sports brand Puma will sponsor the Iranian football national team again, all big Iranian news agencies report on Tuesday.

Iran had already played at the 1998 and 2006 World Cup as well as in the 2007 Asian Cup with Puma kits, however, the contract was not extended afterwards.

Team Melli just recently ended their deal with Italian brand Legea after a dispute over the quality of the supplied jerseys.

German brand Uhlsport, also main sponsor of the Iranian League and several Iranian clubs such as Esteghlal Tehran, Persepolis Tehran or Zob Ahan Esfahan, filled in for the most recent national team games.

However, reportedly the Iranian team will already play in Puma kits in the upcoming friendly match against Jordan in Dubai on February 23.
