Dejagah stars in Wolfsburg win [VIDEO]
PFDC – WOLFSBURG, Ashkan Dejagah was the matchwinner for Vfl Wolfsburg in German Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon, scoring one goal and creating another in a 3-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen.
Leverkusen took an early lead through striker Kiessling, but Wolfsburg, with a splendid Ashkan Dejagah on the right wing, responded after 32 minutes, when Helmes headed a cross from Japanese international Hasebe into the net.
Ashkan Dejagah brought Felix Magath’s men in front when a freekick was headed to the Iranian international on the right wing by Croatian international Mandzukic, and Dejagah set up his run into the box with his head before unleashing a powerful shot on goal, which couldn’t be saved by the goalkeeper.
An owngoal then doubled Wolfsburg’s lead when Dejagah’s pass from half-right position was directed into the own net by Kadlec, follwing a counter attack in minute 62.
Derdiyok’s injury time goal made things exciting again, but Bellarabi’s late miss sealed Leverkusen’s destiny and allowed Wolfsburg to climb up to tenth position of the table.
Dejagah, who played the full matchm collected his fifth yellow card three minutes from time and will miss Wolfsburg’s clash against Nuremberg next week due to suspension.
However, the Team Melli winger now has three goals and six assists to his name this season.
