PFDC – BERLIN, Ashkan Dejagah’s splendid form continued against Hertha Berlin in German Bundesliga Saturday night, as the Iranian’s two assists inspired Vfl Wolfsburg’s comeback to win 4-1.

Wolfsburg dominated the game from the start, but proved to be vulnerable by counter attacks, one of them leading to Hertha’s lead through Georgian international Kobiashvili.

However, Dejagah, who had joined Hertha as teenager and had started his professional football career at the club, helped levelling the scoreline, when he got hold of the ball on the right wing before seeing his pass to the center tipped into the own goal by a defender.

Dejagah then showed an impressive solo run on the right wing before sending a pinpoint cross to striker Helmes in center, who beautifully vollied the ball into the net to make it 2-1.

It were assists number eight and nine this season for Dejagah, who also scored three goals.

The once more great performing Dejagah had two chances to increase his goal tally late in second half, but his efforts lacked precision.

Dejagah then was subbed out 15 minutes from time, whereas his teammates Mandzukic and Helmes added two late goals to seal an important win.

Wolfsburg are not only behind a UEFA Europa League spot due to goal difference.
