Khalatbari on target for Al Wasl [VIDEO]

Loading...PFDC – DUBAI, Iranian international Mohammad-Reza Khalatbari scored his third goal for Al Wasl since joining Maradona’s side in January in a 2-2 draw against Al Ain on Saturday.
The small striker equalized Asamoah Gyan’s first half goal shortly after the hourmark with a header. Just two minutes later Oliveira put Al Wasl in front, but a late Asamoah Gyan penalty restored parity.
While Al Ain are souvereign table toppers, Al Wasl stand in hopeless sixth position.
The Iranian players in Europe were less fortunate.
Alireza Haghighi was not in the squad as Rubin Kazan qualified for the Russian Cup final midweek.
Injured Ashkan Dejagah missed out on Wolfsburg’s 1-2 loss to Augsburg on Saturday, which, after the 0-2 defeat to Hannover on Tuesday in which Dejagah was subbed out in second half after a satisfying performance, virtually ended the club’s dream of featuring in UEFA Europa league next season.
Javad Nekounam, who had missed the last game midweek due to injury, remained on the bench in Osasuna’s 0-1 defeat to Espanyol Barcelona on Sunday.
