Esteghlal out of title race

TEHRAN TIMES – TEHRAN, Esteghlal football team has little chance of winning a Professional League (IPL) title after suffering a draw against struggling Shahrdari on Friday.
 
With two weeks remaining, the Blues were held to a goalless draw by Shahrdari in a lackluster game at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, five points adrift of IPL leader Sepahan.
 
Elsewhere, Damash and Saba played out a goalless draw, Saipa was held to a 1-1 draw by Malavan, Sepasi drew 0-0 with Zob Ahan, struggling Rah Ahan was held to a goalless draw by Foolad and Sanat Naft defeated Naft 2-1 in Abadan.
