Ali Karimi has no plan to quit
TEHRAN TIMES – TEHRAN, Persepolis captain Ali Karimi said that he is not going to hang up his boots.
Following Persepolis’ poor results in the Iran Professional League this season, it was reported that Karimi would bid farewell to the team.
“I don’t know where the story came from, but I have to say I have no plan to quit at the moment,” Karimi wrote on his site. “Unfortunately, some people quoted me as saying that I was going to quit, but I want to play.”
“I did not have a good form this season but I can still play. I am better than those who think they are on form. After the match against Al Hilal (AFC Champions League) I said that I think it’s time to go, however I didn’t determine the time. It seems some people are more interested than me to see me out of the game,” the 34-year old added.
