Rubin Kazan win Russian Cup [VIDEO & PHOTOS]

PFDC – YEKATERINBURG, Alireza Haghighi can celebrate his first title with Rubin Kazan after the club’s 1-0 win over Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Cup final on Wednesday.

Roman Eremenko’s 78th minute strike remained unanswered and so Rubin couldn’t only lift the trophy, but also booked a place in next season’s UEFA Europa League.

Iranian keeper Haghighi made the squad for the game, but remained on Rubin’s bench until the final whistle and thus without any playing time in competitive games ever since joining Rubin during the winter break.
