PFDC – BRAUNSCHWEIG, Half-Iranian German Bundesliga 2 goalkeeper Daniel Davari confirmed his interest in playing for Iran’s national team in an interview with Iran’s ‘Jahan-e Varzesh’ paper.

The 24-year-old emerged as Eintracht Braunschweig’s main goalkeeper last season and would be eligible to play for Team Melli, due to his Iranian father.

According to the report, Davari explained that he is a fan of Iranian football and called playing for Iran a “great honor”.

The 192 cm (6”3”) tall keeper, however, has not been on Carlos’ Queiroz scouting list yet.
