Persepolis crisis continues [VIDEO]

PFDC – AHVAZ, Persepolis FC’s disappointing run in Iran’s Persian Gulf League continued on Wednesday with a 1-1 draw against Foolad Khuzestan in round 7.

A late Mohammad Ghazi header to a Hossein Mahini cross seemed to secure a the second win of the season, but a last-minute equalizer by Ayoob Kalantari denied Manuel Jose’s men victory.

Foolad had already missed a penalty kick in first half, and had been unlucky when a Bakhtiar Rahmani shot came off the woodwork.

Meanwhile Naft Tehran are new table-toppers following a 1-0 win over bottom placed Zob Ahan.

Sepahan Esfahan stand in second position thanks to a late winner from Xhehavir Sukaj. Saipa are third despite a 0-1 loss to now fourth placed Rah Ahan.

Esteghlal’s game against Paykan was postponed.
