Uzbekistan in-form, Qatar lose secret Bayern friendly

PFDC – TASHKENT/MUNICH, The Uzbek football national team celebrated an easy 3-0 victory in a friendly match against Kuwait on Friday, while Qatar suffered a 1-0 defeat against FC Bayern Munich in a secret friendly match yesterday in the Munich Allianz Arena.
The Uzbeks, who started rather shaky in their Brazil 2014 World Cup qualification campaign with a 0-1 home loss against Iran and a 1-1 draw in Lebanon last June, defeated the Kuwaiti squad in a friendly by goals from Tursunov and a brace by Geynrikh.
The Qataris, who were outplayed by South Korea at home with a 1-4 final score, but then again managed to snatch one point from Tehran against the Iranian national team, suffered a 1-0 loss against German Bundesliga powerhouse FC Bayern Munich.
On a side note, the Bavarian heavy weights had to play without many star players due to national team duties.
