TEHRAN TIMES – ESFAHAN, Rasoul Korbekandi was fired by Zob Ahan on Thursday after five months in charge.

The Isfahan-based football club lost patience with the 59-year-old coach.

Zob Ahan is 15th in Iran Professional League (IPL) standings table.

It’s said former Sepahan coach Farhad Kazemi is an option to replace Korbekandi.

“Zob Ahan lost its first five games, but afterwards we got good results in the league and I don’t know why they have decided to fire me,” Korbekandi said.

Meanwhile Zob Ahan general manager Khosro Ebrahimi said on Friday that the club has not fired Korbekandi. According to him, they will make a decision about him within the next three days.
