Dejagah helps Fulham beating Newcastle
PFDC – LONDON, Fulham returned to winning ways in English Premier League on Monday, defeating Newcastle United 2-1.
Sidwell brought Fulham in front early in the match, but Ben Arfa levelled the scoreline after 54 minutes.
Fulham coach Martin Jol reacted and brought on Ashkan Dejagah after 62 minutes and the Iranian international immediately won a freekick which was executed well by Duff and and met by Rodallega’s head in the box, who scored what should be the winner for the hosts.
Dejagah, who had a fine game overall, almost had his foot in the creation of another goal, but his nice flick to Berbatov was forwarded to Sidwell, who missed the excellent opportunity.
Fulham sit in disappointing 13th position of the table, but only trail a Champions League qualifying berth by six points.
