TEHRAN TIMES – PAMPLONA, Iranian international midfielder Masoud Shojaei has stated his desire to stay in Pamplona and continue playing for Osasuna.

Shojaei scored Osasuna’s first goal in the 2-0 win against Levante on Monday.

“I am the happiest person in the world. I have four months left on my contract but I want to stay. I am happy to be here,” the 28-year old player said.

On April 3, 2011 in the match against Atletico Madrid in Pamplona, the Iranian player fractured metatarsal in his left foot and was sidelined for 15 months.

He recovered from the fracture and returned to play but on November 4 in the match against Valladolid he suffered a hamstring injury in the left foot.
