Bayern deserved to win Champions League, Mahdavikia says

Loading...Tehran Times – LONDON, Ex-Iran winger Mehdi Mahdavikia said on Sunday that the better team won the Champions League title.
Bayern Munich won the Champions League final on Saturday, defeating Borussia Dortmund by a 2-1 score.
“It was a beautiful match. I think Bayern was the better team in the second half and won the match,” said former Hamburger SV and Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder, who attended the match at London’s Wembley Stadium.
Mahdavikia also expressed his praises to the Borussia Dortmund’s fans.
The 36-year-old player bade farewell in early May after Persepolis lost to Sepahan in penalty shootout.
Mahdavikia made 111 appearances for Iran football team and scored 13 goals.
