Iran’s Hazfi Cup to start on Sept. 4

Loading...Tehran Times – TEHRAN, The Iran Football Federation says the 2013-14 Iran Hazfi Cup will start on September 4.
“A total of 64 teams will compete in Iran’s Hazfi Cup and the competitions will be finished before the Iranian Professional League (IPL),” Gholamreza Behravan, the director of Iran’s League Organization, said on Monday.
The 27th edition of Iran’s Hazfi Cup was originally scheduled for September 3 but will be held one day later.
Iranian giant Persepolis and Esteghlal will not face each other until the final match.
At the end of the 2012-13 season, Sepahan wrapped up the title, beating Persepolis in penalty shootout in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
