Persianleague.com – TEHRAN, Esteghlal Khuzestan was able to hold The Reds in Azadi Stadium.

In the beginning of the first half, Seyed Salehi and Jalal Hosseini had a couple of chances on the visitors’ net, but the Khuzestan goalkeeper kept the ball out.

Khalatbari had a free kick on the visitors’ net in the 33rd minute, but his effort didn’t convert into a goal.

Esteghlal Khuzestan also had a few chances, but because of their low numbers in their offensive line, they failed to pose a serious threat.

Persepolis’ best chance was when Sadeghian’s shot went just over the cross bar in the final minutes of the first half.

In the second half both teams created more chances, but ultimately failed to score and the match ended 0-0.

The following players received yellow cards: Sadeghian, J. Hosseini, and Ali Asgari from Persepolis, and Traore, Salehi, Bakhtiarizadeh, and Kheiri Mir from Esteghlal Khuzestan.

Despite not winning, Persepolis is now first in the IPL with 27 points, ahead of Foolad by goal difference.
