Persianfootball.com – TEHRAN, Iran’s national team will face Belarus and Montenegro in friendly matches on May 18 and 26, Iranian news agency “Mehr News” reported on Tuesday.

The matches probably will take place during an earlier announced training camp in Austria.

Team Melli will then return to Tehran to meet an African team there. South Africa and Angola were named as possible test match opposition for May 31.

Finally, Carlos Queiroz’s men will compete with Trinidad & Tobago on June 8 in Brazil during their final stage of preparations for the FIFA World Cup.

Iranian spokespersons and media outlets are famous for announcing friendly matches prematurely, so if the matches will really take place is at least slightly doubtful.

So far, only an Asian Cup qualifier versus Kuwait on March 3 has been confirmed while a game against Guinea on March 5 was reported as well.

Iran were grouped with Argentina, Nigeria and Bosnia-Herzegovina for the group stage of Brazil 2014.
