Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Iran football coach Carlos Queiroz says that Iran will have a chance to qualify for the second round of the 2014 World Cup if they beat Nigeria.

Iran will play its first match against Nigeria in Group F in Curitiba on June 16. Five days later, the Iranian team is scheduled to play Argentina in Belo Horizonte. And Queiroz’s men will play their third match against Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 25 in Salvador.

“We are concentrating on the Nigeria match, then we will think about Argentina. For us, Nigeria means the World Cup,” Queiroz said on Sunday.

“An idiom says ‘everything or nothing.’ The Nigeria match means everything for us. I don’t care about the Portugal, England, Spain, and Brazil matches, but I just think about Nigeria,” the veteran Portuguese coach added.

“We will do our best in the 2014 World Cup to bring pride and dignity to Iran,” the former Real Madrid coach added.

The 2014 World Cup will be held from June 12 to July 13 in Brazil.
