World Cup preparation: Iran ties Montenegro [HIGHLIGHTS, PHOTOS]

Loading...Persianfootball.com – HARTBERG, In it’s second World Cup 2014 preparation match in Austria, Iran tied Montenegro 0-0 in Hartberg stadium on Monday May 26, 2014.
Both sides started the first half cautiously with Iran becoming more aggressive as the game progressed.
Team Melli created three rather dangerous chances one in minute 27 by Ashkan shot from outside the box, minute 38 a cleaver shot by Shojaei from just inside the box and in minuet 39 Nekonam header from a beautiful cross by Montazeri but all missed the goal or were stopped by Montenegro’s goalkeeper.
Consequently, no goals occured and the first half ended 0-0.
In the second half, Iran continued to be the aggressive side when in minute 74 Jahanbakhsh missed a header in front of the goal, minute 77 Hajsafi’s nice shot from outside the box just missed the goal, 85 minute Azmoon missed a cross in front of the goal send by Jahanbakhsh, 88 minute hearder by Alenemeh found its way over the bar and finally a long shot by Nekonam in minute 92 stopped by the keeper.
Although Iran appeared much stronger than in Belarus match but here again Team Melli unable to score against Montenegro adding another goalless tie to it’s record.
Next Team Melli match will be this Friday against Angola at 5 pm Tehran time, also in Hartberg.
