Iran U16 advance to semi-finals of Caspian Cup after victory over the host

Loading...Persianfootball.com – BAKU, Iran under-16 national football team advanced to the semi-finals of IV Caspian Cup Youth Tournament after thrashing the host Azerbaijan U16 on Friday May 30 in her final group match.
The match was played at 9:15 pm Baku local time and resulted in 4-0 victory for Iran U16.
In other matches played yesterday Tajikistan defeated Georgia 3-1, Afghanistan narrowly lost to Bulgaria 1-0, while Uzbekistan was too strong for Kazakhstan whom they hammered 8-1.
According to IRNA, on Tuesday 3 June, U16s will play the winner of Azerbaijan U17 and Afghanistan who are scheduled to play tommorrow.
