Sadeghian handed three-month suspension
Tasnim – TEHRAN, Persepolis midfielder Payam Sadeghian has been banned for three months after pushing the referee in the match against Foold in the Iranian Professional League (IPL).
On Thursday, Sadeghian was shown a red card by referee Mohammad Reza Akbarian after protesting him and then pushed the official.
Persepolis lost to Foolad 2-0 in the second week of the IPL.
Sadeghian has been charged with misconduct by the Disciplinary Committee of the Iranian Football Federation on Saturday.
Persepolis football club can lodge an appeal over Sadeghian’s punishment.
