Iran still second best in Asia according to FIFA ranking

Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Jordan and South Korea occupy the top five positions in Asia with rankings of 44, 48, 51, 56 and 57 respectively.
2015 AFC Asian Cup host Australia is ranked 79 in 7th place amongst AFC members. Iran’s Group C opponents for the January tournament in Down Under are ranked as follow UAE (65), Qatar (92) and Bahrain (107).
Whilst Venzuela who is scheduled to meet Iran in a friendly match in October is ranked 29.
FIFA Top 5 remained unchanged being Germany, Argentina, Netherlands, Colombia and Belgium.
