Iran to face Tahiti at Beach Soccer World Cup quarters
Tasnim – ESPINHO, Iran will play Tahiti on Thursday in the quarter-final round of the 2015 Beach Soccer World Cup ongoing in Espinho, Portugal.
Iran finished in second place of Group C, beating Mexico 3-2.
Brazil beat Spain to ensure Team Melli a spot in the knockout stages, for the second finals in a row.
“We wanted to reach the last four, at least, and fortunately we’ve won two of our first three games,” Iran wide player Mohammad Ahmadzadeh said.
Iran started the campaign with a 6-5 victory over Spain and lost to Brazil 4-3.
