Edinho, who won the top scorer award in last season’s Iran Professional League with 20 goals for Tractor Sazi, is currently playing for Qatari side Al Sailiya.
Al Sailiya is struggling in this season’s Qatar Star League as it is in 11th place with just seven points from nine games. The club wants to make big changes and Edinho who has scored just one goal may return to Iran to find his top form again.
On the other hand, Persepolis who lost Hadi Norouzi after his tragic sudden death wants to strengthen its squad in the winter transfer window.
Edinho and Mohammad Nouri are two players who have been linked with the move to Reds in this transfer window.
Persepolis is currently in 7th place with 18 points from 12 games.
