Iran finishes in 7th at Women’s Futsal World Tournament

Loading...Tasnim – GUATEMALA CITY, Iran finished in seventh place at the Women’s Futsal World Tournament on Saturday.
The Iranian team beat Japan 2-1 in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
Iran had already defeated Japan 1-0 in the final match of the inaugural AFC Women’s Futsal Championship in late September.
Iran opened the campaign with a 3-1 loss to Portugal and then lost to Brazil 6-0.
The Iranian women football team then was defeated by Costa Rica 2-1 in their third match.
The 2015 Women’s Futsal World Tournament is the sixth edition of the Women’s Futsal World Tournament, and is the premier world championship for women’s national futsal teams.
