“Iran looks for three points against China”: Mohammad Khakpour
Tasnim – DOHA, Iran coach Mohammad Khakpour said his men are looking for the three points in the game against China.
Iran currently sits second place in Group A of the AFC U-23 Championship due to a superior head-to-head record over Syria, although Khakpour’s side is not guaranteed progress even with a win over China.
Iran has been scheduled to face China on Monday in Doha’s Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.
“I think China is a good team,” said Iran coach Khakpour in the pre-match news conference. “They lost two games, but they’re not a bad team. They were playing with one man down against Syria, but nothing is done for us.”
“The game against China is very important. We have to look for three points because Syria has a chance to play against Qatar too.”
“We come with full power for the next game and we are looking for the three points in the game against China,” Khakpour added.
