Milad Mohammadi joins Russian Premier League club Terek Grozny
Persianfootball.com – GROZNY, Iranian international defender Milad Mohammadi has signed with Russian Premier league club Terek Grozny.
The 22-year-old former Rah Ahan player completed the transfer to Russia after obtaining his visa and passing his medical examination. Confirmed by the official website of the Chechnyan club, Mohammadi has signed a 3 and a half year contract. He will now join the first team squad as they continue their winter training camp in Italy.
Milad Mohammadi was a member of the U23 Iranian national team that recently participated in the 2016 AFC U23 Championships in Qatar, scoring one goal in the group stage opener against Syria. Iran ended the tournament at the Quarter-finals stage after being defeated by Japan 3:0.
Mohammadi is also a recent addition to the senior national team setup, having earned two call-ups under Carlos Queiroz. He made his Team Melli debut featuring in a friendly against Uzbekistan in June 2015.
Terek Grozny is currently 7th in the Russian Premier league standings.
