Mehr News – TEHRAN, Iran national under-17 football team is scheduled to participate in two separate tournaments to be hosted by Oman and Kazakhstan.

The Iranian squad will depart for Oman on July 12 to take part in an International Quartet Tournament which will last until July 19.

In order to achieve further preparations for the Asian U-16 Championships, to be held in India this September, the country’s U-17 outfit will also compete at another tournament to be held in Kazakhstan in August.

The Kazakh event enjoys a higher quality since it will be attended by European team providing young Iranian players with the opportunity to evaluate their sportive performance.

So far, presence of Spain, Belarus, Russia, Iran and Kazakhstan has been confirmed in the international event which will convene from August 06-16.

Iran Football Federation has recently appointed Abbas Chamanian as the new head coach of the country’s Under-17 team.
